DiRT Showdown postponed to June

Codemasters today revealed the ship date of DiRT Showdown has been postponed for consoles after discussions with its distribution partner Warner Bros. The PC edition is unaffected, but the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions will now be released in North America on June 12, slipping from its original May 29 date.

Codemasters and Warner Bros said in a joined statement that the move to June will provide the game with a clearer release window and create a greater opportunity for success at North American retail outlets. The PC edition will hold its global digital release date on Thursday, May 24.

DiRT Showdown delivers a new world of competitive and combative racing in a chaotic tour of motorized mayhem. You’ll race through San Francisco to Miami and London and Tokyo. You’ll find more than 50 different events across four championships, and drive through sun, snow, and rain. In addition, you’ll get split-screen multiplayer, eight-player online racing, on and off-line quick-fire party games, and YouTube integration.
