Codemasters’ F1 2010 has taken pole position on the UK All Format Charts following its launch last week, dethroning Microsoft Xbox 360 juggernaut Halo: Reach in the process.
The critically acclaimed racer marks the first entry in the long running series to hit the top spot since Sony nabbed the rights to the IP with the release of Formula One 2001 on PS2. By contrast however, F1 2010 outsold its 2001 counterpart by more than ten times.
Meanwhile, Capcom’s zombie outing Dead Rising 2 made its debut at number three, sitting behind the aforementioned Halo: Reach, which dropped to second place with an 80 percent decline in sales.
