Square Enix has let slip that its hotly anticipated RPG Final Fantasy XIII will take players a fair amount of time to plough through, with the game’s main quest clocking in around the 50-60 hour mark.
Speaking during a recent interview over in the Land of the Rising Sun, director Motomu Toriyama commented, “For XIII, the size of the entire game is considerable.”
“Just running through the main story takes experienced players over 50 hours. For the first time, I think it’s possible to play through in full in about 60 hours or so.”
Final Fantasy XIII will be unleashed in Japan later this month, with a European and North American launch pencilled in for March 9, 2010. Stay tuned for more coverage on the game here at PSU in the coming weeks.
