FIFA 09 adds 'Live Season' feature

Just when you think EA Sports couldn't possibly come up with anything else to shoehorn into their sports line, along comes Peter Moore with a reminder that the game is never finished.

Announced at Leipzig this morning, FIFA 09 will be the first title in the EA roster to benefit from 'Live Season', which promises to dynamically alter player performance in the game to mirror their real-life counterparts.

If Fernando Torres has a fantastic week in the premiership, expect his form in the game to be just as dangerous, for example. The likes of Paul Robinson are in trouble.

A great idea in theory, hopefully EA will present the option to switch it off, for the sake of Pompey fans alone.

    Could be good but if EA's w@nky servers have anything to do with it then it aint gonna work, at least not in europe.
