According to website Tiscali Games, the September issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly contains the first hard details on Electronic Arts' second foray into the skating genre, Skate 2. The supposed list of Skate 2 facts is as follows:
* Takes place in a rebuilt San Vanelona five years after the original game
* Includes the ability to play as a female character
* The new character editor is inspired by the one featured in the Tiger Woods series
* Contains the ability to get off of the board and walk
* Features more realistic pedestrian behavior
* Retains the session mark feature found in the first without the irritating loading times
* Improved camera includes an additional third-person perspective
* Will make use of EA's own website and servers for video uploading
* Planned to run at a silky 60 frames per second
That sounds like a pretty appealing feature set that rectifies a lot of issues people had with the original game. We'll have a ton of new Skate 2 details for you on August 4.
