Rockstar's ubiquitous Grand Theft Auto IV continues to maintain its stronghold in European countries, with the PlayStation 3 version of the popular crime sim evidently the version of choice for consumers in Spain and Germany.

The PS3 version beat its Xbox 360 counterpart to pole position in both territories, despite being pipped to the post in Sweden, where the Xbox 360 release claimed the top spot for another week.

Meanwhile, the game continues to maintain its dominance in the UK, remaining at number one for the third consecutive week, despite witnessing a 41 per cent drop in sales.

41% isn't really a lot...think about it...if there the game sold 600,000 in the first week than a 41% drop would mean it still sold over 300,000 the second week...admirable considering a lot of games take months to reach even a fraction of the heights that GTA has scaled in mere days.

Hate living in Sweden. Why do we prefer Xbox?

Excellent game! However, it seems to have killed my PS3. It wont load past the logo screen, and the patch wont even install. Great. Wonder what it is like on the 360...?

psn id: gingo.... this will continue being on top of the charts until a new big game comes out, possibly haze could beat it and MGS4 will definitely beat it

even first with 41% drop, that's amazing too me! I'm sure gta4 will stay number one until the release of mgs4!

How bout an UPDATE were we can do more after we beat the game. It doesnt feel like a gta afterwards. Like, let me custom cars buy more things like cars and places. give me more to do with a city this big.

I agree w/psycho mantis, GTAIV was over rated. Im a HUGE GTA fan, and IV jus didn't feel the same. To tell the truth, the game was actually boring! So was Niko! It jus didn't feel like a GTA game to me. Sorry, good graphics, physics, and A.I, aren't the only things that make a game, THEY FORGOT HALF THE GAMEPLAY!!! Liked S.A better!!

gta iv is a great game but defo not "10/10, best game ever made" material. Ive finsihed the story and find myself bored with it. overall i managed to get 41 hours out of it. it really lacks substance after the story is complete. Mulitplayer is good but not cod4 great. hopefully if there is a gta v it will have more replay value.
