Heavenly Sword surpasses one million mark

When Heavenly Sword hit store shelves last September, it arrived to rather mixed critical reception (for a AAA title). Many cited the game’s six-hour length as its downfall, though we believe the remarkable cinematic presentation and production values of the title more than compensated. Regardless, Heavenly Sword has overcome its short stigma and achieved platinum status.

Ninja Theory employees celebrate their 1,000,000 unit title
In comparison to Ninja Theory's first title, Kung Fu Chaos, which pushed a mere 10,000 units, a million-seller is quite the accomplishment. With these sales, a Heavenly Sword sequel becomes a financially realistic option for Ninja Theory. Still, regardless whether or not their next game turns out to be Heavenly Sword 2 or an entirely original IP, here's hoping it sports a little more longevity than its predecessor.

Heavenly sword is an excellent intense action game with a great story, graphiques, destructable environment (not to mention being able to throw objects or bodies at your ennimis) and good use of six-axis controles. Most next-gen games don't have 20% of the work that's behind Heavenly sword nor the quality!

this game is a classic action beat'em up game. i love the counters the moves of nariko is so fluid, and crazy kai is such fun to play with. if they do make part 2 bring everything they did in part one and just make it better and longer. Congratus to Ninja Theory keep up the good work.

The 6-axis "aftertouch" deal was one of the better gaming experiences of last year. This game fell victime to the anti-PS3 stuff from last year, period.

I completed the title twice and thought it was an overall great title with a few flaws. The game's length was it's greatest flaw, but with more time and a better understanding of the PS3 I had very high hopes for the sequel... Perhaps there's still a chance we will see a Heavenly Sword 2, because with some tweaks to the fighting engine, level design & game length the game would be amazing. It's still one of the most cinematic titles ever released and a visual showcase for the PS3.

To bad that Heavenly Sword 2 is going to be multi platform, don't know why it's going on 360, what a slap in the face, im not going to support it, saddly.
