Home open beta confirmed for November

PlayStation Home Creative Director Ron Festejo has confirmed that the online social platform will be entering its open beta stage in November 2008.
“Home is currently in a closed beta phase,” said Festejo. “We have between 8,000 and 10,000 users in this closed beta phase. Around July we’re going to be expanding on the closed beta phase and allowing more people to gradually come in, and then in November this year we’ll be going to the open beta.”
In addition, Festejo added that feedback from the community has allowed the team to implement various improvements to the online service, stating, “The extension to the closed beta allows us to have more conversations with our community. We’re very much in close conversations with them.”
“A lot of the changes we’ve done have been the result of feedback. We’ve asked the community a lot of questions, they’ve given us a lot of feedback as to what they think needs improving, and we’re doing that, so it’s managing expectations.”

Sony has almost killed all my anticipation for Home. I was very excited for its '' release '' in November, then when it got pushed back til Spring I was very mad but I thought it would be better because I would be done with most of my classes and would have time to enjoy it better, BUT then they postpone it til who knows when. All I know is this Beta better be good, otherwise I'm not even going to bother downloading Home.

I feel they made a mistake by teasing us so early with video of this service at or a little after launch. Its been delay, after delay, after delay and so on and so on. I'm really not that hyped for it anymore, until november comes around and we don't hear of another delay. On the positive, feedback is always good and if they are working on features and issues then when we do get the open beta, it should be an almost perfect experience ( I hope).

the best thing about home is the acheivments that you can get and the trophies that will be awarded to the best players pluse you can have what the xbox does with their console and more and u guys are telling me you wont wait a bit for that i like to wait to have a good product not a half backed shizz like halo3 take all the time you want sony just give us something to to compare with the XBL service or an xmb

i think its still a long way to go but anyhow im happy to see they will put it out for everyone to try it this year ^_^ i still think its a good thing that they taking forever to make it cause they trying to make it as good as they can before anything good luck to sony.

Hopefully it does come out in November, AND hopefully there are no delays with Resistance 2..... IMAGINE THAT, Resistance 2 and Home in the same month. BRING ON NOVEMBER!!!!!!!!!

Ok I dont get it, I understand it makes sense to allow a few people into the closed beta and ask what their opinions are about the beta form, but what if their opinions about home are different than those of the rest of us what if they decide about one color but in all actuallity i want it BLUE!!!

too many delays. i lost all interest in Home since it was delayed from early spring this year. and also, dont fall for these pathetic "confirmed by Sony" bs messages their representatives like to give off. how many times have they "confirmed" and then failed to meet the deadline?? think about it...

I have the feeling that when Home actually does release. that a lot of people are going to download it and say. What?!! What the h*** have sony been working on all this time?! Improvements? What improvements? And a lot of people will be bored with it and dissapointed.
