The Blood Of Dawnwalker Will Get A Physical Release On Disc That Includes The Full Game

Rebel Wolves’ debut title, The Blood of Dawnwalker, will receive a physical disc release that includes the full game without the need for any downloading, its director has said.

Speaking with Eurogamer, Konrad Tomaszkiewic confirmed, “yes, it is coming to the disc.” Following up on this, Bandai Namco Entertainment told the site, “The full game data is on disc, with a day-one patch recommended.” Day-one patches are very common nowadays, but beyond that it’s good to know that, unlike some physical releases, the disc actually has the whole package and isn’t just used to shove in your console just to prove you own it.

Rebel Wolves announced that The Blood of Dawnwalker went gold last week, which means production is now complete and the master disc is off to manufacturing. Speaking in the same interview with Eurogamer, Tomaszkiewicz touched base on the possible delay for next-generation systems due to the cost RAM and other issues, stating that if the current hardware cycle were to stick around longer it wouldn’t impact the studio and its plans for the franchise.

Last month, Tomaszkiewicz also confirmed that Rebel Wolves is thinking about a roadmap for the fantasy-RPG that includes smaller, free-add-ons, but noted that a final decision has yet to be made.

The Blood of Dawnwalker is pencilled in for release on September 3, 2026 for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S. The game takes place in 14th century Europe and sees players controlling Coen, a dawnwalker cursed with the abilities of a vampire while still retaining human qualities, who embarks on a mission to save his family – but only has 30 days and nights to accomplish his goal.
