Metal Gear Online’s hotly anticipated “Meme” expansion pack will be released in Europe and North America on November 25, Konami announced today.

Armed with this latest expansion, players will be able to take control of two new playable characters – Liquid Ocelot and Mei Ling – as well as participate in three all new stages.

According to Konami’s press blurb, Ocelot comes equipped with his Guns of the Patriots ability, which allows him to manipulate the Sons of the Patriots’ lock system, while Mei Ling boasts a Trench Mortar weapon, a Soliton Sonar, and the ability to “transfix” her opponents.

In regards to the new maps, gamers will be able to duke it out in three new areas: Silo Sunset, Forest Firefight, and Winter Warehouse. Elsewhere, the expansion also adds some new gameplay rules, including ‘No Headshot’ and 'Stealth Death Match.'

The Meme expansion will be stealthily positioning itself on the scene from November 25, with PAL gamers able to pre-order the DLC for EUR 7.99. North American pricing has yet to be announced.

Very interesting. From now on, every match will be littered in Liquid players. Dont like the idea of a payed for expansion, I mean we deserve more maps!!! We've made do with 4 so far!!!!!!!

@2 You didn't know that there were 5 maps at the outset, and don't seem to know that whenever there's a playable character, whether Meryl, Johnny, Snake or now Mei Ling and Liquid Ocelot, there can only be one version of them in any one game.  So that "every match will be littered in Liquid players..." statement makes me think you've never played MGO.  I am I wrong?  Care to explain?  Are you an Xbot, MGS hater or just an all around "I-like-to-talk-about-what-I-don't know-about guy"?

MGS4 was great, however MGO sucked! And why didn't konami tie the online portion into the PSN?
