LittleBigPlanet glitch causes slight save deletion

LittleBigPlanet or LittleBigProblems? It seems ever since Media Molecule's dream creation reached the pre-launch week, the title has been bogged down with any issue one could think of. From the full week delay due to religious content to the online experience being gimped down, users have found one problem after another. While LBP has proven to be an extraordinary title, one which we love, it goes without saying that a supposed flagship title for the console should have shipped with far less issues.
According to a thread started over at LittleBigWorkshop, more users are running into a slight problem that results in some of their saved profile information being deleted. This issue seems to be targeting the recently released Metal Gear Solid 4 data more than anything else. Below is a couple of posts from users experiencing this dilemma.
"I've completed all five acts, and when I turned off the power and played again, all that was unlocked was Act 1-3. However, my scores from Act 4 and 5 were still in place-- it's just that I need to unlock them all over again as well as collect the prize bubbles. I turned the power off again and I'm back at Act 3 which is the last one unlocked with the game saying I've collected 0% of the goodies in Acts 3-5. To add to it, the saved costumes I had of the Metal Gear crew were missing from my saved costumes folder. Though the actual parts to create those costumes are still there thankfully." - SuperPhillip
"I went though everything and this time I got 100% on everything and didn't die on the last level so I aced 3/5 levels. I quit out of it for 1 minute and I go back in. I lost everything, again!" - MexicanGRUNT
The time frame for this issue couldn't be worse as the Holiday season is still wrapping up, leaving no official word from Media Molecule or Sony in sight. We'll continue to send out emails to see if there is a fix in the works, but until then, we'd like to know if any of our readers have experienced this problem. Let us know below.

I haven't had any issues thank goodness. Aced all 5 levels, all goodies collected. All I need to do is beat the survival challenge with 3,750 points.

Prior to most of the patches I've had SackBoy customized costumes disappear. I'd create one save it, even heart it, change out of it and later try go go back only to have it not load. I used to think it had something to do with copyright infringement since I was trying to make funy anime style characters but it turns out that wasnt it after hearing this... I havent had that problem since though but Ihavent gotten to trying out the MGS content yet so who knows.

Why would PSU say something like "leaving no official word from Media Molecule or Sony in sight?" Doesn't sound that hopeful to the cause, considering they're a Playstation website... When it comes to anything with Sony, they think it over, figure a solution, then tell the public that something is being done. Respectively, they don't give people false hope to attempt to replace a bad situation. Last time I checked, my Playstation 3 doesn't have Microsoft on it...

I still play the game but MM should know better then to bring out such an awesome game with a good amount of problems and some of the problems are a big deal. I mean come on, some of these problems have no excuse either. I am kind of disappointed in MM for releasing a game that could have been great but instead give people a game that has stupid problems and/or having so much lag that it's unplayable online. I don't mean to sound harsh against MM but they should know better.

Finally there is info on this! I was playing LBP a few days ago and was acing some pretty hard levels (one of which was 'the bunker') and quit out to do something else. soon after, I went to play some more and realised that all 7 or 8 new levels that I aced were not apparent to be aced. It really frustrated me because I had finally aced and 100%'d some levels. I'm fine with re-acing the bunker since I have aced it about 6 times by now (trying and trying again to fix the issue) but still, as buyers of the product, I think we deserve better quality bug checks and such.

That hasn't happened to me yet but the servers for the online part of LBP is VERY laggy. I don't know if they can fix that with a new patch but it's very annoying. It keeps kicking people out of the game. It signed me out of PSN for a bit. Also when I want to play online and I want to ivnite friends and vice versa, it kick me or it kicks my friends out. Plus some of our stickers and decorations were missing. Hopefully they fix these issues ASAP!

I've been working towards getting 100% prize bubbles and have had the same problem. For me, it's happening on the Story levels. My friend and I were wrapping up the last couple of worlds. We completed Sensei's Lost Castle, Oni's Volcano, The Dancer's Court, Elephant Temple, and The Great Magician's Palace. We then took a break to eat and returned to LBP to get online and finish up the levels with four player challenges.
To my surprise, all of the prize bubbles i collected on the previous playthrough were not saved. THEY WERE ALL GONE. We completed all of them a second time, only to lose them again just as soon as we quit the game.
It seems to be that the problem only occurs when you collect a large number of items in one sitting. I think so because every time it failed to save was when we had completed them all in one play. On one occasion we played only "Sensei's Lost Castle." We then quit and restarted the game. Surprisingly, it actually saved my items.
I'm going to try playing them one at a time and see what happens. This is really strange.
Update - I just went back to look at my MGS levels since people say it seems to target them. They are all fine; 100% complete.
I don't believe that the game is actually deleting save data. I think that it's failing to save it in the first place.
