Lost Planet on PS3 gets exclusive character

Those "Only on Xbox 360" logos never really mean anything - plenty of those titles have made their way onto Sony's system. The most recent of these reversals is with 360's snow-laden third person shooter, Lost Planet.
Yes, yes, we already know all this. However, it appears the developers over at Capcom wanted to give PS3 owners a little something extra for the additional year or so they had to wait to play the game. Besides all the previously exclusive PC characters -- Frank West, Joe and Mega Man -- PS3 fans will be able to play as the voluptuous Luka.
Get ready to blow up some rather angry-looking aliens on a PS3 near you soon.

nope im not i thought the game kinda sucked on 360 i never really cared it was exclusive but it really is a love it or hate it game

well WHOOPDY FREAKIN DOO! I am just full of win after reading this article not only do we get the most"meh" game on the 360 we get to play some nobody. Let me speak for all sony fanboys and say we really think that you reapayed us for crapping on the PS3 "twice in the same year" by literally porting dookie over.
Thank you Capcom for everything and please enjoy this complementary middle f*nger that you can see across the galaxies. ^_^ -

This game was just another very "average" shooter and it will be over two years old software title on PC & Xbox by the time this slops is offered on PS3. Im not wasting money on buying this as far as I am concerned this is way too little too late.
The message we need to be sending developers is that if they dont bother releasing on PS3 day one or if they are trying to flog off sub par ports with a few cheap added levels or gimmicks then they can expect very low sales in return.
I'd like Capcom to start thinking about producing quality games on PS3 a few levels above this crap. Maybe a few PS3 exclusive and if not, at least a few PS3 firsts.

Im not fond of 360 ports.. especially when they dont do a better job. I mean take Oblivion - it was a port from the 360 and PC - but by god they actually put a $hitload of effort into the PS3 version and actually made it better! Thats what we need if they're gonna port games over here.

I'm not getting this game. I consider Capcom games to be sub par and after they've treated us PS3 fans, I say forget them.

if you were able to move a lil faster a lil more agile i wouldve enjoyed it a lot more. i only played it for like 2 hours on the 360 , so ill prolly rent it.

Speaking of that Only on Xbox 360 logo, why hasn't Sony done something similar? I think if Sony put Only For PLAYSTATION 3 or something like that on the cases of the exclusive games it would look alot better. Any one else think that?

I guess it's ok, however a skin-varient isn't going to make me get the game. I'll take graphical presentation and prowess over extra content anyday.

@Tom a ss - You are correct it got released a year ago on the Xbox 360... For some reason It feels longer - I feel like it was ago when I played a few levels of this. Even so it was a forgetable game and getting a port after that time anyway is pretty lame. We have better shooters like Uncharted and games like Haze coming up so why waste money on third rate stuff?
Dont get me wrong I dont mind good ports and if we got Bioshock, Crysis or Mass Effect a year later than the other platforms Id probably be more accepting because they are excellent games worth the wait.

I think its good that thi game is coming to ps3 and all these small extras are always nice to have the more games the better, though I still wont be getting this game. Not much of a third person shooter fan, with the exception being Warhawk and Metal Gear Solid. i prefer first person shooters myself

Nice try capcom, trying to make us PS3 fans feels special by giving us an exclusive character. Don't really care.
They seem to be pretty desperate for this game to do well on Ps3 for some reason, they've already said when its released it will be at a reduced price. Are they taking a bit of a gamble on this or what?

Seriously this game is poor. I already own it on 360 I got the special edition with the nice tin box and all its done is collect dust. Seriously if you have limited funds with which to purchase games then there is so many more better things to spend your money on. My advice to my PS3 owning bretheren is steer WELL CLEAR.

I'm definitely gonna get this one,has a very nice concept from what i've seen,has a good story,AND has multiplayer and now an exclusive character,i'm definitely not gonna miss out on such an awesome deal!!
