LucasArts defects from ESA

After word got out some time ago that Activision and Vivendi were leaving the Entertainment Software Association, it seems LucasArts has decided not to renew its membership in the ESA also.
"We can confirm that LucasArts is no longer a member of the ESA," the company said in a statement provided to the media. "As a company we are still committed to bringing consumers the best interactive experience possible and support the ESA's mission in the industry."
Although not a member of the ESA, a LucasArts' spokesperson did reveal that the company would be participating in this years E3 event. The ESA, which was founded in 1994 and offers a range of services to interactive entertainment software publishers including: a global anti-piracy program, business and consumer research, government relations and intellectual property protection efforts. ESA also owns and operates the E3 Media & Business Summit.

Its a question about turbulence in the enviroment. The companies are getting bigger and bigger and having more an more know-how and experience so by going rouge, they can form alliances and networks with each other with having the restraints of following some kinds of guidelines.. Look at the european union. Its a complete mess..

no one likes unions.....these people just take money.....(ESA)....and dont do much in return...that's the real reason....MONEY!
