Mass Effect 3 is delayed into the first three months of 2012, BioWare today announced. The game was originally slated for release sometime during the 2011 holiday season.
In a statement on Facebook, Casey Hudson, executive producer of the Mass Effect series, said: “Mass Effect 3 will be released in the first three months of 2012. The development team is laser focused on making sure Mass Effect 3 is the biggest, boldest and best game in the series, ensuring that it exceeds everyone’s expectations.”
Mass Effect 3 is the first title in the series to release simultaneously on both consoles: PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 (also on PC). If BioWare is really “laser focused” on Mass Effect 3, we say take your time, there are so many big titles coming out in 2011, and we know Mass Effect 3 will keep us occupied for several months.
