Retro gaming is all the rage. Mention something like a replica Neo Geo controller coming to PlayStation 3 and you are likely to spark a lot of interest.
Well, that’s just what Japanese peripheral manufacturer Exar plans to do when it releases a replica of the New Geo AES controller on July 16. The controller is slated for release in Japan for 5,229 yen, or $54, according to 1UP.com.
The controller is completely accurate, except for the addition of the L and R buttons. You will not find a PlayStation Home button on the controller, but who doesn’t want to try this bad boy out for the new release of King of Fighters XII?
The controller will only be released in Japan, so everyone else should plan on importing it if they want to live back in the ’90s.
