Fans of the PS2 hit, Red Faction, should have something to smile about today as THQ CEO Brian Farrell commented on yet another installment of the franchise. While fans of the game were a little let down by the sequel, the highly touted “GeoMod” technology of the first Red Faction leaves high hopes for some innovative game play and environments.
It is currently unknown what platforms will carry the title, but the game should be ready to ship sometime next year with experts estimating mid to late 2008.
Keep your eyes on PSU.com for future announcements from THQ and Violation (the development house behind the game) on the new Red Faction.

I liked the first red faction, I thought it was cool if you didn't have a key to open a door you could blow holes around it and go through, you could blow holes through almost anything, very cool game, I can just imagine what it could do in next-gen...
Hope its for the ps3, that'll be huge
It better be on the PS3, I played the others on my PS2 so I would like them to stay with Sony.
i liked red faction II but it wasn't nearly as destructible as Red Faction I, which was the biggest draw of the game...so uh....what happened there? Heres to hoping Red Faction III takes the destruction even further!
hopefully they come up with a stroy line that isn't completely retarded like the last one.
Good. Bring hope for the next 12 months that your game is good.
