PS3 firmware Update 1.93 released

The PlayStation 3 firmware v1.93 has just been released. Currently the firmware update is only for North American users.

According to recent reports, the new firmware update only fixes minor networking bugs from the 1.92 patch. Also Warhawk should be running much smoother with the update.

For those of you having errors through the PlayStation Network on the PS3, try downloading the patch on your computer and installing it via flash drive.

    hmmm, i can get past like 5% because it says i cant connect to server...anyone else having this prob?

    i finished it a while ago. it didn't let me sign in tho, so I turned off my PS3 and turned it back on. Everything works fine now.

    for some reason  was messing with  displat setup and i  checked 1080p on my hdmi setting , know i cant even see the video when i turn my ps3 is blank . can you guys help me ...........please i wanna download the update

    Cash, hold the power button untill it beeps a couple times(about 10 secs. or so) the dsplay settings should be reset.

    freezes at 4% and has an unexpected error...  not cool sony!  fix your crap or atleast make a version availble tonight u can download on your pc!!!

    Ok am not gettin past 4% but i downloaded it from  the link provided in the article but has anyone else tried this link?

    Ok just tried it an the download i got via the link in the article wsant even recognized on my jumpdrive. Ok am gonna try to ignore this until in the morning if by then it's still not workin then am gonna be pissed.

    go to your cookies and delete ,and will work. o delete your cache to it's in your tools.

    If any of you still having problems with the 4%. Try going from wired connection to Wireless...   it worked for me.

    Hm, I don't like this update at all. After I downloaded it, it was stuck with black screen. I had to restart my PS3. Now I can't get online at all. :(

     

    It also seems that the 1.93 isn't quite official since it's still 1.92 you can download on www.playstation.com.

    And I have read in some forums that many people have problems with this download.

    argh another update already, please sony, next time fix some small simple thoughtless things... like displaying the time when u press the PS button... and also need better music browsing!

    i'm having the same issue as the users that have their download stopping at 4% and then giving them an error

    i've also tried installing the patch via storage device but that isn't working either

    mine stopped at 4% too, but i just moved the ps3 closer to the wireless reciever then it worked.

    1.92 caused a few problems for me. The PS store was totally unavailable. All I got was an error message: "A connection to the server could not be established. (80710003)". Also I couldn't access some websites including google and imdb. 1.93 has fixed these so I'm happy. Anyone notice improvements to Warhawk?

    Why can I no longer log into PSN after updating? Anyone else having the same problem? This is pretty frustrating, especially on a Thursday...

    i was finally able to download the firmware update with no problem

    i deleted my cookies and cache, so if anyone is still having problems with the update then try doing what i did along with the other steps that are all over the internet

    hope it works out for you!

    TECH SUPPORT SAYS IT COULD BE 3-4DAYS BEFORE THE PROBLEM IS FIXED.... FIRMWARE SERVERS ARE DOWN....ARRRGGGHHH!!!!
