Jonathan Blow, the developer behind the critically acclaimed Xbox Live Arcade title Braid, has hinted that a PlayStation 3 version of the 2D platformer might be possible at some point in the future.
Speaking in the latest Game Focus podcast, Blow commented, "It's a limited exclusive, so if I were to try to make a PS3 or WiiWare version of the game, I would have to wait a little bit.”
"PlayStation 3 might happen in the future. What's going to definitely happen this year is a PC release. The only reason that's not out right now is that I wanted to focus on one platform at a time.”
He also ruled out the possibility of a WiiWare iteration, commenting, "WiiWare is not going to happen for this game because the model is just not right - like, Braid is too big of a game to be downloadable on WiiWare and stored on someone's Wii.”
Despite the success of the original, Blow revealed that he currently has no plans to produce a sequel, adding, "I'm not going to do a sequel to Braid - I don't care how many copies it sells.”
"I mean, maybe in five years when I'm motivated, if I have a really fresh idea for it. But I'm not waiting in the wings with a level pack, or DLC or anything."

I wonder how many "limited exclusives" are going to make it to the PS3.

This is why idiotic devs need to stop taking thos M$ checks for exclusivity, it hurts you way more. But we'll forgive you *opens arms for hug*

Apparently it's a huge hit on XBLA. Hopefully it will come to PSN soon in the future.

I just purchased this game on the XBLA after reading all the "amazing" reviews it was getting across the net/websites. It is highly overrated and correctly mentioned as a very, very short game with no actual quality replayability. Comparing this game to other platformers such as Super Mario as some websites has done is outlandish. "Donkey Kong meets Prince of Persia"... that is a riot. Not even close. The graphics on the whole are static (most) and while they are a little "nostalgic" in feel, they are not a masterpiece. The character only has one ability which is to reverse time which helps with puzzles (which are fairly simple once you get used to the ability) and helps to progress through the short levels. Oh and believe it or not... you can get him to move left/right and actually jump. That is it folks. If you are interested in this game... I highly recommend playing the demo first (if you have a 360) to see if you actually like it. It, imo, definitely does not deserve the price he is charging or the hype/ratings. Like all games to a certain extent... it has it's niche market. Almost every game has people who love it and people who say... WTF??!??!!!? This is one of those games.

I've seen a few more comments about it not being all that great at other places.
If it's super short I don't think it'll really work to well against the PSN games unless it was expanded or something.
Of all the PSN games I've downloaded around 10 so far they all have alteast and hour or more of play time before you get fed up playing it, also plently of levels etc.
