PSP Go!Messenger coming to PSP store tomorrow

Sony has confirmed that its upcoming PSP Go!Messenger wireless communication service will be released on the PSP Store on Friday, February 29.

The service allows any Go!Messenger user to send video, voice and instant messages via a wireless Internet connection, including the 2,500+ Openzone hotspots provided by British Telecom (BT)

In order to utilize the service, you’ll need to own a PSP Go!Cam, an attachable video camera and microphone, along with access to a wireless connection. Consumers will not have to pay any additional charges aside from existing broadband fees.

Stephane Hareau, European Marketing Manager for PlayStation Portable, commented: "Enabling more than 8.5 Million PSP users across the SCEE region to communicate with each other, through Video or Voice chat, truly confirms the always evolving nature and potential of PSP.”

Warren Buckley, Mobility and Convergence Group Director for BT, added that he feels Go!Messenger will “only help SCEE to attract even more customers for the PSP".
