NetEase has announced that Marvel Rivals is getting a PvE mode that pits 50 players against Thanos and his army in the form of Path to Doomsday – Avengers: Endgame.
Marvel Rivals’ Creative Director, Guangyun Chen, revealed that the mode will be set in the ruins of the Avengers Compound as seen in the climatic battle of Avengers: Endgame, and it is expected to recreate various moments from the movie such as the ‘I am inevitable’ line from Mad Titan himself. That’s about all we know of the game mode so far, although expect more details soon enough as it launches on October 22.
Avengers: Endgame has recently returned to cinemas for its Encore showcase, which adds new post-credit scenes to set up the events of Avengers: Doomsday this December. The main film sees the remaining Avengers coming together to pull off a Time Heist that sees travelling to various key events in the past, such as the Battle of New York, to recover the Infinity Stones and reverse the effects of the Blip.
