PSW, a United Kingdom based magazine, has announced within its pages that Crysis will indeed see the light of day on the PlayStation 3. We've included below not only an image of this page, but the quote from it as well.
"First up, we have Crysis. Now it's no secret that Crysis is coming to PS3 this year. The excitable, hard-worked coders over at Crytek have said as much in many interviews - they've even produced a new, multi-platform engine in readiness - but the real juice here is that it won't be a straight conversion of the PC game. We understand PS3 Crysis will be an almost 50% new game, with many of the original games staff taken off PC Crysis months before release to begin to work on Crysis 2 and a port to PS3 that will include aspects of the sequel - but a new structure, environments, weapons and enemies will feature on PS3. This should be one of the year's biggest console shooters."
We've contacted Crytek in order to find out further information in regards to this rumor and we'll be updating this article once they get back to us. We're hopeful that they'll shed some light on yet another Crysis to PS3 rumor.

you know i dont know to much about crysis but from all the hype it sounds tight so i would love to see this game on my ps3

If games on PC's are to be ported to PS3...this is how it should be done, not just a straight port....but with added changes (for the better of course!). Especially when they'll be about a year old by the time they're released! Hope we get to play this this year!
I thought this was the best game on the PC when I played it, (with the exception of lagging), but I think this would be better on the PS#. I prefer controllers than keyboards for FPS.
i saw crysis running on a high settings on a pc and it has the best graphics that any game has ever had i would get it on day one
Hey, YoBoyRob9041226: High settings aren't max. Try hunting down this game maxed out with full AntiAliasing and Anisotropic Filtering. PS. Prepared to have your face melted!

From what I read, I'm pretty excited, but I wont be convinced 100% that Crysis is coming to the PS3 unless Crytek confirms it. I don't want to get hyped up and excited about Crysis if it's not really going to come to the PS3.
I don't know anything about Crysis and I've never seen any screen shots of the game, but I know that Crysis was a really hyped game. I read that Crysis really turned out to be a pretty average shooter with ultra-realistic graphics and many PC owners had to upgrade their computers just to play the game...But I will definantly pick up Crysis if it comes to the PS3. If Crysis is really coming to the PS3, it sure will give us PS3 owners just another reason to laugh at the Xbox 360 because Crysis couldn't be released on the 360 because it wasn't powerful enough, Ha ha.
finnaly if crysis goes to ps3...i wont have to upgrade my computer haha...well hope the gameplay and everythin will be similar to the pc..
though i might still upgrade pc for crysis but later...way later in the future.

Same here - Crysis is the best game Ive ever seen. If this comes to PS3 then I'll take a month off work.

If this turns out true...major burn on all the 360 fans that are always dissing the PS3. Also, we get a damn good game exclusive. Hope it happens
crysis ..umm hyped up for its incredible dustructable, and beutyful envirnments with graphics that no other game has done.. it would be great if they brought this to the ps3 looking almost as good.

Really hope this is true. Sounds true, about how they took off some of the team months before to start work on it. Sounds like a prettty fleshed out rumor. Hope it's true. It would be awesome if it was only for the PS3. For some reason I get MORE excited for exclusive games then multi-platform ones, guess I'm too much of a Sony fan.

PSW make their living on three month old news the rest on rumours...don't believe a word of what they tell you in their pages...better still, don't buy the magazine...

I would love to see this game come to PS3, I do not have a a good enough PC to run the gam. By making this game for PS3; Im sure Crytek would make alot more money off this great looking game.
