Video tour of PlayStation's booth at Comic-Con 2008With Lord of the Rings fans drooling from the mouth for a new truly next-gen experience, it seems that it may not be too far away. With the cancellation of The White Council, disappointment came forth, but now fans have something new to look forward to. The newly acquired studio by EA is said to be at work or in the progress of starting the development for a new Lord of the Rings game.
Pandemic is perhaps most famous for their work on the Mercenaries series, as well as Star Wars Battlefront. What this means is that you definitely know they're capable of putting together an action packed title with massive worlds. Could we finally see a Lord of the Rings game that has the ability to reach epic proportions?

I'd love to see Battlefront 3 on my PS3!!!
I would love to see a LotR game with the concept of Battlefront. I think that would be sweet.
i loved the lord of the rings movie games so lets hope for a game better than those
psn id: gingo.... hopefully they dont make it an MMO because i liked their normal action LOTR titles
but... this means no battlefront 3 for a while? i or was it developed by someone else? if so, why is not pndemic making it? i was really hyped about the white council but things turend out as they did so now im holding my breath for this one!

Sounds great, depending on what kind of game it is. A LOTR battlefront title would be cool, but I doubt that is what it is. I'll be interested in hearing more.
