Michael Yum, CEO of PM Studios, has revealed during an interview with PCGamesN that he’s hopeful for more collaborations with Telltale Games beyond the upcoming The Wolf Among Us 2.
For those unaware, PM Studios has been instrumental in getting The Wolf Among Us 2 off the ground, after Telltale Games experienced numerous troubles over years. Notably, in 2018 the original incarnation of the studio closed its doors after filing for bankruptcy. However, LCG Entertainment helped revive the company and acquired the rights to much of its IP, while still operating under the Telltale brand.
For The Wolf Among Us 2, PM Studios is helping support Telltale Games financially, telling the team “let me worry about the money, so you don’t have to worry about that anymore,” said Yum. He’s also hoping that the partnership with Telltale will extend beyond The Wolf Among Us 2, but what that might entail has yet to be decided.
I think we’ve both enjoyed our experience with them, and they with us, and so we’ve talked about future partnership. I’m really happy to say that I think there will be more, and I’ve discussed new stuff, and I’ve told them what I would like to see, and we’re kind of all aligned. I think a few things can happen there, and we just have to wait for everybody else to see. I think everybody will feel really happy with what’s going to come.
Back in June, Telltale Games CEO Jamie Ottilie revealed during an interview with IGN that the team are “actively” thinking about what it’ll move onto after The Wolf Among Us 2, noting there are “quite a few games” in the running for the developer’s next project. However, Ottilie made it clear it “won’t be Wolf 3 out of the gate.”
