Patapon spin-off heading to PSN?

Electronic Gaming Monthly has published a selection of rumours in the Quartermann section of its April issue, among which suggest that a spin-off title in Sony’s Patapon series may be making an appearance on PlayStation Network at some point.

Patapon is a rhythm-based game recently released on the PlayStation Portable, developed by PaRappa the Rapper creators, Interlink. Players control an army of tribal miniatures by performing combos on four talking drum sets, each one mapped to a particular button on the PSP.

EGM’s report doesn’t go into detail in terms of what to expect from a possible spin-off on PSN, but we’ll keep you informed on any developments as they break.

    I was hoping for that since the Patapon demo ... (I guess it would be silly to hope for Rockband drum controller support??)

    That game is pretty darn good if you ask me. A spin-off will be embraced

    my friend played the game on his PSP... All i can say it is very addictive and you start speaking the language
