With Ratchet and Clank: Quest for Booty hitting the PlayStation Network August 21, be prepared to bring a sandwich and a drink. According to various reports, Insomniac's new Ratchet and Clank title will clock in at a whopping 2.3GB.
The game will be available for $14.99, and will expand upon the story of Ratchet and his travels. Insomniac will be introducing new features such as a new tool called the Omniwrench, which will allow players to move and grab objects. Also, new light/dark gameplay will be introduced, having players find creatures called Heliogrubs to light up vast dark areas.
Ratchet and Clank: Quest for Booty features four new levels and includes up to three to four hours of gameplay. For many, the download for the new title will last longer than the gameplay, but we have no doubt it will be worth it.

I believe the Omniwrench is not a new weapon but an upgrade from the wrench in R&C:FTOD

@mixpix7212 What kind of connection do you have? Can you download a gig from the PSN in 10 mins? I have a 13 megabit/second connection and it usually takes me 2 to 3 hours to get a 1 gig demo file from the PSN.
A little bit more Ratchet and Clank is worth $15 IMO. GO INSOMNIAC!

Yea, I'm glad I got myself a 250gb HDD. With the new Video Store, Installs, and PSN games becoming larger, it will pay off for sure.

Well,if the Omniwrench is a new weapon then why is that the standard melee weapon in R&C Size Matters was the Omniwrench 10K

I don't understand why they won't put it on disc. The demo came on a disc if you pre-ordered, so I don't see the problem with why they can't do that with an all-out expansion. I wouldn't care if it came in a blank cardboard sleeve with Insomniac and/or Ratchet and Clank logos, as long as I had the physical media. Hope they do it.

I think this really demonstrates one of the biggest benefits of the PS Store... XBL's Marketplace has a 150 MB file size limit. This kind of game could not be released on Marketplace, and I'd be more than happy to wait a little while to download a game if I had a slower connection. You folks that are complaining do know that you can download stuff in the background while you're doing other things right? Heck, I can think of a million things to do while it's downloading if you don't want to use your ps3 while it's downloading...

That's a big Booty!

But seriously folks, NOW I know why you guys complain about the "bad online of PS3" (as if I didn't already know), your connections SUCK. Sorry to tell you, your bandwidth has been grossy oversold by your ISP for your area. So you can stop complaining about the PSN now. It's you! 3 to 4 hours, pffft!

@ # 10 - Your are so full of sh**! How can you have a 1Tb connection? That is 1 terabit = 1012 bits = 1,000,000,000,000 bits. So you can basically download 1gig a second.... right. A T3 line can only do about 45Mbps and it cost's thousands to have. HDD can't even right that fast.
