Max Payne theatrical trailer releasedCapcom has revealed that its Resident Evil series (known a Biohazard in Japan) has sold 34.5 million copies since its inception in 1996, making it by far the company’s most successful intellectual property to date.
Individually, the highest selling title in the survival horror series is 1998’s Resident Evil 2 with nearly five million unit sold globally, followed by Resident Evil 3: Nemesis (3.5 million) and Resident Evil (2.75 million)
The company’s biggest selling software release to date, however, is Street Fighter II, released on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) in 1992 with 6.3 million copies sold worldwide.
Devil May Cry and Onimusha have also made their mark, with global sales of both franchises clocking in at 9.5 million and 7.8 million units each, respectively.

The RE series and DMC actually both hold lots of revenue for Capcom. Just hope they keep up the momentum after RE4.
not suprising with how big the game has become. every resident evil i have played has more then lived up to my expectations. resident evil is going to blow everyone away.
