Resistance 2 ads terrify Irish press

Here's a bit of comedy to round off the PSU week - Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has plastered Dublin newspapers the Metro and Herald AM with Resistance 2 ads masquerading as front-page stories - the headline is "America Under Attack!" Kotaku has a few scans for your amusement.
The ads also feature parodic editorials on the Chimeran threat and an address from the President of the United States. Well done, marketing chaps - that's what we call earning your keep.
Resistance 2 is out today in Europe. Insomniac's biggest shooter yet won critical acclaim when it hit America earlier in the month, which bodes well for its retail performance overseas. PSU gave the game a thoroughly well-deserved 8.5 out of 10.

edit. nevermind you can hit the pic below and it blows it up. of course they blame canada for letting the invasion come through us to reach the states.

us irish aint that damn dumb. The title "resistance 2 ads terrify irish press" really is a huge exaggeration but the R2 newspaper thing is cool and very well done

8.5 ???? ....is exactly what it deserves!! Well done PSU. The score probably reflects the lack of a graphic update to the first one and the fact that the scene to scene action seemed repetitive. I've said it before and i'll say it again ..i loved the first one and WAS a huge fan. I'm not going to continue to support a developer who is lazy and living off the last title in a series...i just can't believe how some people are so stubbern and refuse to recognize when they've been duped. It's hilarious!!
8.5 ? maybe 8 ... great score PSU. at least recognize a phoney :)

@19: Seriously bro, please don't comment on something you know nothing about. R2 is a masterpiece. It's an improvement on everything from R1 save for the co-op. No graphical update!? What are you high on something? NO the graphics themselves weren't updated much from the first game BUT the size, scope, and number of ememies on the screen was increased exponentially! How could you not notice that? Do you realize the kind of power it takes to render that invasion scene over Chicago in real time? Obviously you don't. The fact that they got the game to look as good as it does with the things they put in one frame is astounding in itself. The single-player is actually a challenge unlike the first one, the action is fast-paced and keeps you on your toes, and the storyline is worthy of nothing less than a movie(if they didn't mess it up, like they do every other video game to movie adaptation). And oh yeah, 60 CLIENT ONLINE MULTIPLAYER! That's all the proof you need that it's a great game, so please THINK before you post.
