According to Internet reports, Konami will be releasing a new Metal Gear Online expansion pack in Japan later this month, which will supposedly feature additional characters as well as all-new maps.

The rumour states that the DLC will be released on July 17 for approximately JYP 1200, and includes the following content:

-Two new characters, Johnny and Meryl
-Players will be able to create female soldiers
-Three new playable stages: Shadow Moses Island, Mei Ling’s Ship and the Heliport (from Metal Gear Solid)
-Survival Mode

In addition to the above, the following game rules will also be added on July 4:

-Team Scanning (teams will split into defending and sneaking parties)
-Head-Shot Only Kills

As previously mentioned, the above content hasn’t been officially confirmed by Konami, so take it with a pinch of salt for the time being, at least until we hear otherwise.

Stay tuned for further information as it breaks.
