The GameTrailers.com community has shown their SackBoy love with over 10,000,000 downloads of LittleBigPlanet videos. This epic amount of views has resulted in GameTrailers presenting a GT Diamond Award to Sony Computer Entertainment for their highly innovative platformer.
"Since LittleBigPlanet grabbed the spotlight at GDC 2007, our community has been eager to dive in and start living out their dreams of being game designers," said Shane Satterfield, editor-in-chief of GameTrailers.com. "With LittleBigPlanet, Sony and Media Molecule delivered a groundbreaking game that is also very entertaining, and we’re happy to deliver the Diamond Award to such a deserving game."
While some may sweep this achievement under the rug, Sony’s Vice President of Product Marketing sees it as an achievement worth recognizing.
