Warner Bros confirms Terminator: Salvation for 2009

The Agency to appear at summer 2009 trade showsSony Computer Entertainment Japan (SCEJ) announced today that it would be releasing a Satin Sliver PlayStation 3 console in the territory early next month.
Due to go on sale in Japan on March 6, the Satin Sliver 40GB PS3 will come packaged with the standard Dual Shock 3 control pad and will retail for approximately JPY 39,380.
This brings the total number of coloured PS3’s in the region to three, joining the previously released Ceramic White and Clear Black systems.
It is currently unknown whether or not the Satin Silver model will receive a western release.

UPDATE:
A spokesperson for Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) has commented, "there are no plans for a silver PS3 in North America at this time."

You cant beat black when it comes to console/electrical devices, although it does show the dust like a bastad. I would like a carbon effect one that would look way cool

Silver would be sick! I wanted this color at launch and was quite dissapointed when they didn't release it. Hopefully the controller and Blu-Ray remote is silver as well!

In all the websites it says that it comes with a silver satin Dualshock 3 conroller...But in the picture of the controller, it says Sixaxis on it...
I wonder if Sony is going to release all the other colors of the rainbow at the same time or space them out every few months...

I'd like to see a Matt Black and dark Red version... But basically always been a fan of black.
I was at E3 05 when they first revealed the PS3 and at that time it was shown in 4 different colors. Blike, White, Silver, and Silver Flake. So It's not that they were Showcasing the Silver more there were 2 different Silver.
1) Black and Chrome
2) White
3) Silver Metallic - (which they call Satin Silver now)
4) *Silver Flake* - (The one missing color so far. Basically a flat Silver Color With Silver Flakes under the gloss, Flakes Reminiscent of the same flakes found in Goldsloger)
Cha, they also said there were no "current" plans for various other PS3 models in territories other than teh one in question.
Boo urns, thats all I have to say about that.
@WhiplashCC: I havent seen the pics of the silver controller - however all DualShock3's do say 'SIXAXIS' on them. Really they are a 'DualShock3 SIXAXIS' controller.
