Sony Computer Entertainment Europe today announced that SingStar for PlayStation 3 would be released in the UK on December 7.

The company also revealed that it plans to promote the title through a dedicated MySpace website, in addition to multiple SingStar Studio pods at London’s O2 Arena.
SingStar PS3 is a continuation of the popular karaoke series previously released on PlayStation 2, and contains over 30 songs, with more unlockable through the online SingStore. The game will be compatible with existing SingStar USB peripherals, in addition to the recently released PlayStation Eye.
The game is expected to hit the rest of Europe on December 12.

This game along with kareoke should be banned. Its self humiliation, 99% of the time, awfull to listen to, and above all these diluded people who think they can sing can now embaress themselves over the internet in front of millions. (actually that could be quite funny and entertaining to watch) Its like pop idol on tv were you get parents geeing up little sally anne who cant sing for toffee and telling them they sing like an angel, whats that all about. Why do people want to this? I just dont understand? Is it really fun making yourself look a complete idiot?
And before you ask NO I wont be buying it

I have a few of these on PS2 and they are fun to play every now and then. Ive got the original Singstar, Singstar Pop, Singstar 80's, SingStar Legends, Singstar Party ... its all starting to get repetitive. Im not sure there is much value in buying this one anyway. A Bluray holding the same amount of tracks as my other SingStars on PS2.....ummm.....no this is a rip off.
