Sonic Unleashed pushed back in Japan

SEGA has confirmed that it will be delaying the release of Sonic Unleashed in Japan on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in order to improve the quality of the title.
Curiously, the game is still on track for release in western territories this side of Christmas, though Japanese gamers will have to wait until Spring 2009 in order to get a taste of the spikey blue hero’s latest antics.
However, it remains to be seen whether or not the western version will receive the same improvements as its Japanese counterpart later down the line.
Sonic Unleashed on PS3 is due for release in North America on December 12, with Europe getting the game slightly earlier on November 28.

Sonic games have been so awful for so long now, I have doubts this will be any different.

DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE, WHY WOULD THEY DELAY IT FOR JAPAN AND NOT THE WORLD? I WILL PERSONALLY FLY OVER THERE TO PUNCH SOMEONE IN THE FACE IF THIS GAME TURNS OUT TO BE CRAP. I WILL BE REALLY PISSED IF THEY GET A BETTER VERSION THEN THE REST OF THE WORLD.

I really dont get it, the release schedule for this game is so backwards and weird. First of all, the PS2/Wii DIMPs developed Unleashed is getting released in like, a week from now, yet the 360/PS3 versions are being release dlater. THE base project DIMPs based their work on, is being released at a later date.
The PS3 version coming out later than 360 is fine, we're PS3 owners, we live with this fact of life. But holy crap, i dont get the DIMPs version being released first, its like if Valve let Vampire Masquarade Bloodline get released first instead of Half Life 2, doens't make a whole lot of sense at all!
but man, its SO weird that Japans getting the delay instead of the states. What the frick is going on at SEGA??
