Square Enix LA to focus on digital titles
European PSN update; November 20A 2008 Japanese release schedule for Namco Bandai has revealed that the company is planning on bringing Tales of Vesperia to the PlayStation 3.
The game was originally believed to be an Xbox 360 exclusive, although it now appears the title will be arriving on Sony’s latest home console too. An official announcement has yet to be issued, however.
As the tenth instalment in the popular RPG series, Tales of Vesperia utilizes an enhanced version of the battle system employed in Tales of the Abyss, called the Evolved Flex-Range Linear Motion Battle System (EFR-LMBS).
New gameplay features include the ability to construct rare equipment by gathering various materials, in addition to performing special attacks, which, when timed correctly, will defeat non-boss creatures in a single hit.
In addition to the standard single player campaign, it has also been confirmed that the title will include both cooperative and multiplayer game modes.

wasn't this removed from the release schedule? i think they changed the XBOX360/PS3 to XBOX360 only
this kinda goes with what the devs said in an interview a few weeks back that it will make it to the ps3

That would be cool. I was going to wait and buy it on my ps3 eventually anyhow. We all knew it would only be a "timed" exclusive at the least.
xeno maybe tales is not on par with final fantasy but it has been a pretty decent game franchise so go away :)
Never heard of this serious, but Jap RPG normaly have decent stories so might be a nice grab.
imagine that. a japanese centered game exclusive to the 360 is going to the ps3. I hope it high fives eternal sonata on its way to the ps3 side.
sw33t, first we take eternal sonata, now tales is right back where it belongs, and we still have FF, the 360s only chance to draw the die hard sony fans away are with the RPGs, and were getting them all any way

YES !! More RPGs for the PS3..come on Sony keep them coming..all the RPG fans (like myself) buy the Sony consoles for the great RPGs..but at the moment the 360 has way more !! (And they are all FPS fanboys !!)

See, I told you so. why would a japanese company give exclusivity of games from the one ganre that the japanese people buy most to the system they buy the least? the 36* will never get an exclusive japanese RPG because no one in japan really cares about the system.
