 I just played through the last half of the game this morning. Zero freezes. 

 

Although Wipeout HD seems to have an extra long pause after closing the XMB now.

AHH!! I bought uncharted last week and ever since the update it freezes when it loads! I thought it was the disc (cuz it was prowned) Lolz at @ 2 That is the prblem!

Haven't tried Uncharted but I think the xmb is slightly slower for example when comparing trophies. Which is quite bad, beacuse it wasn't exactly fast to begin with.

i haven't had any problems with uncharted...but my xmb is dead slow when i acsess it from in game(dosn't seem to matter witch game i play)

 

sony should have done more with the bows around the frinds list something like

blue box for online

yellow for busy

and red for offline

and something like a green out line of the box if you have a unread message from that friend

I have an original 60gb ps3 Model Cechc04, i have updated , i have no iplayed or Tv icons on the XMB. Sony have said that a fixed firmware is being sorted for today or tomorrow ( V3.01)

We were all having problems on the SOCOM servers last night too.  If you played you know what I'm talking about.  I'm assuming it's from patch 1.30.  Oh well.  I'm sure the problems will be fixed.

I freaking hate this update.SCrew these huge icons and grey boxes.The classic start-up music is gone as well as the Playstaion chime when you start a game.Anyone else here annoyed by this update like I am and how can we possibly get Son'y to change this crap?

I played it yesterday, had no problems, though before the update I did have freezing problems sometimes, and it always seemed to happen in the exact same place, but it never happened all the time, just now and then.

Haven't tried Uncharted - and I'm not 100% sure if the problem was there before, but playing Ferrari Challenge both after and before 3.00 it seems I'm getting screen freezes, they only last a second or 2 but I'm getting them on every track.

I platinumed on Uncharted a long time ago. I still havent updated to 3.0, but from what I've been hearing, i don't think I will unless I get totally blocked from using the system.

I did have the game freeze once this morning. It was right before the undead spaniard dudes are chasing you and it lets you run and shoot.

I dont know about game play. But ith the last update my ps3 couldnt read the disc unless you start playing a demo and then when you hit the ps3 button in the middle, the disc apear. Now with this update, my ps3 reads the disc as soon as you put it in.

Yeap, mine freezes at random places, it has become unplayable as you could have made a few jumps to get to certain place and suddenly you lose all your game progress...soooo frustrating!

hi there ppl of this nice place...ive just loged in an registerd...i have a HUGE Problem...IT IS 3.0 Let me explayn i usualy play a lot of musik while chekin the mail txting with girls navigatin internet etc etc(Separate hdd ps hdd usb cd flash cell etc) After the 3.0 desaster...i CAN NOT !!! wen i m on the xmb i go play a tune and while in the vid thing of the ps3 i press ps buton (as usualy ) 2 exit an go to txt chat,browser,xmb(while music playan) IT ASQUES ME IS I WANA EXIT TUNE...LIKE WEN I WHATCH A MOVIE !!!

My PS3 take some little time to recognize a PS2 format disc in my case...

I compare trophies faster than before...

@24, I hear ya on that one! @44 & 45 D**N RIGHT! I'm not liking this new update at all. What did they honestly do to need this freakin' update? Those boxes are UGLY and I'm sure Sony knows this. Why did the information board disappear? I wanted to keep that stupid thing OFF!!!!
