Wardevil Chronicles revealed

As part of a New Years treat, the team over at Digi-Guys have released new content from a special side project entitled "Wardevil Chronicles."
According to the DigiGuys, Wardevil Chronicles is an accompanying 2D Cartoon/Anime that will be used to debut various characters and scenarios throughout the life of the main WarDevil Project.
"We may do more - and expand the Project in many ways, as we've had great fun creating the 2D style - it's designed to be very different to the high-end/CG look of the main Project," said a DigiGuys representative.

Is this a joke? They still haven't shown a single shred of actual gameplay footage from the game (the previous trailers they've released were all preprendered CG), and now they're showing off a spin-off animated movie to a game that seemingly doesn't even exist?
This whole thing reaks more and more of a hoax as time goes on.

Sounds like another stalling tactic to make it seem like things are hapening, but on the other hand maybe leearcher's complaints have caused them to try and build a better public impression with this.
The art is good but leearcher never said any of the art created for the project was ever bad, He just claimed it's beeing horribly managed and if this game really has been in production since 2004 then he's right about that.

Am I the only one who hates anime? I can't stand the usually whiney heroes and supernatural plots. Gungrave is the only one I can tolerate.

Girugamesh, it's pretty stupid to judge a person based on one statement. Besides, people make decisions based on bias all the time. Imagine you dislike a certain food. Each time you try that food, it tastes horrible to you. So, do you try it every time you see it because it might be different, or do you say to yourself "I tried that food enough times and never enjoyed it, I'll stay away from it"?
I tried enough anime. I'm staying away from it. -

First of all - You're stereotyping the usual "whiney superheroes" probably because you've only seen English dubs of anything. Watch Japanese audio with English subtitles and you would know.
Of course you'll never know, though, because of your preconscribed bias. Take Death Note, Elfen Lied, FLCL, 5cm per second, Samurai Champloo, Sword of the Stranger, any of it, I don't see any whiney heroes. Bet you've never even heard of most of that, though.
As for the supernatural plots - Almost EVERY media involves a supernatural plot, in every movie, TV series, book, there is something that is impossible in the reality as we know it. Just by this statement I can see that you're LOOKING for something to dislike about anime, otherwise you'd be criticizing every media in life for impossible plots.

@The people who are whinning about the game: not all companies overhype and show ever bit a piece of a game right away! They dont want to spoil the plot, story ot ect. They'll wait closer to launch to show Gameplay, so STFU and wait. God damn! Effing two year olds want everything right away.

I hate cartoon, I like the real stuff, I mean, Uncharted, James Bond, is'nt anywhere near reality but IT ATLEAST LOOKS LIKE IT.

I can understand people not liking something, but it pis.ses me off when people make stupid generalizations about things. And not just anime. We'd get in a fight if you made a stupid generalization about almost anything.
So say you don't like anime, say it sucks, say it's the worst thing in God's creation, I don't give a fck, but make a retarded generalized stereotype of as broad a category as an animation that's simply has a certain style and is made in Japan, and you're just asking to get your own stupidity.

Too all those fighing about the whole anime thing...
Ill go right on ahead and clear this whole thing up now.
Anime is an ART STYLE (although the style is also known as Manga when used in comics). not a genre of animation. just because you dont like the look of something it doesnt mean you should disregard the content.
People simply claiming to like of dislike anime simply what the characters look like is basicly another way of claiming to be a short sighted fool.
Its as simple as that, there isnt any argument to it. Go right on ahead and stick your opinion up your anus.
Not that it matters anyway, this is clearly western style animation.
More on topic, what I think we have here is another case of devs showing screens of a project the very second they have working models, before hardly into the actual development itself. What have we seen so far? three character models and one background?
Sounds like the first WIP engine scene to me.
For all we know they could have announced this after two days of modeling. -

THANK YOU. That's what I'm trying to say, there CAN BE NO ridiculous generalizations like that because anime is an art style with a japanese cultural influence, there's no such thing as having to have a certain voice, or a certain story, and BTW the whiney voices are from the crappy english dubs.
