Win an HD lifestyle

In association with the Center for Urban Research and Policy at Columbia University, Panasonic will be granting 30 families with HD lifestyles through a new yearly contest. Families can visit the official site here to fill out a entry form.

All families that enter must write essays, take pictures, and fill out personal information to qualify. Once all entries are submitted Director Brett Ratner and Writer/Director/Actor Kevin Smith will then select 30 winners based on creativity and other “special” qualifications.

The winners of the contest will receive $20,000 in HD products, including a Panasonic Blu-ray disc player. The only catch behind winning is each family must document their experiences, participate in monthly challenges, and complete surveys/interviews based on using the equipment.

The contest is Panasonic's way of boosting the market into the HD era, especially for those that can't afford the current high costs associated everything HD. Panasonic plans to continue the promotion by granting 3 families a year, after the initial year, with the same privileges.

    Sounds like a pain in the *** for something you're not likely to win.  And if you do win you apparently have to sell your soul, but hey, $20,000 worth the stuff can't be bad

    What about us who already have HD stuff all around us? :P Nah, I wouldn't win either way. And besides, it's just for US citizens, right?

    The likelyhood of winning this contest is almost as good as being involved in a plane crash.  It seems like a good contest but a waste of time for something with such a slim chance of winning.

    wot 20$ in uk about £12k for letting the world into my family life, i dont think so im not that cheat,

    I've already got a HDTV W/ SKY HD and 360 and pc's that play games in HD

    so i wont be pryed upon for such a little amount!!!!!

    Cool I guess if your odds of winning were worth a hoot, not to mention like others have said winning sounds like it would be a pain in the butt. P.S. to Panasonic I don't want to win because I honestly wouldn't take a Panasonic HD TV to replace my current Bravia. Thanks tho :)

    I would never enter any sweepstakes or things like these there are too many scams.  Plus I went to the actual panasonic website and couldnt find a link to this.

    Probably set up winners as employees families and just take your info to spam you later.
