A rumor has popped up in the latest issue of Game Informer stating that Devil May Cry 5 is currently in the works over at Cambridge-based developer Ninja Theory.
News comes just a few weeks after the studio – famous for working on PS3 exclusive Heavenly Sword – announced it was working on a "secret project."
Devil May Cry launched back in 2001 on PlayStation 2 and made its most recent appearance on PS3, 360 and PC in the form of Devil May Cry 4 in early 2008. Stay tuned for more developments on this story as they break.

This could be interesting, DMC3 was my favourite in the series so if they bring back Dante centred gameplay it could be great :D also first ^^

@ Say_What,
I completely agree with you man. I liked DMC4's graphics and gameplay; however, they were missing EXTREMELY vital points in the story. First off, who the heck was Nero? Where did he come from? Who were his parents? Why does he possess Demonic Powers? Why do those demonic powers belong to Virgil? AND WHERE THE H E L L IS VIRGIL ANYWAY!?
They left far too many holes in the story's plot. They need to explain that in this new game if they're developing it. Capcom got overwhelmingly sloppy with it. Bring Virgil back into the story, and playable! And don't do a half - a s s thing this time. With DMC 3 they had virgil playable, but didn't show his side of the story. That was disturbing.

Hope this is true... Also they better explain the story a bit more, I wouldn't mind if Nero made another entrance but so long as he's more of an optional extra.

Devil May Cry 4 was a huge mistake. The structure was just stupid. Play as Nero- Go through all these levels and fight these bosses. Now play as Dante go through the game backwards and fight all the same bosses. Now play as Nero again and fight the same bosses again and the last boss is the same as the first time you fought him except now he has one new move. What were they thinking? If Dante had his own level's and bosses and the player had not already fought the final boss before I would have been fine with it.

geez guys (and gals), this has really turned into a dmc4 bash seshion. personaly i liked nero as a playable character with his grabs, and i hope they have him in dmc5. though i agree it wasnt a good idea to have dante go back and fight all the bosses in backwards order, that was more tedious than fun.

Ninja Theory should release Heavenly Sword 2 instead of that. They argue they don't want to make games for one console only, but just like many other games they could release the sequel on multiplataform format just like dead rising
I've never been a fan of devil may cry and honestly I've never played any of the games, I really don't feel attracted to them. Maybe if they do something really awesome I might consider

Like I said on tha tone thread in the forums.
I would like a game that features, Saparda instead. A story about the events that took place before, Devil May Cry 3 and how he separated the human world and demon world. I would love to know more about him and how he met the woman who gave birth to both, Dante and Virgil
