Burnout Paradise skidding in on Jan 22

It may not be more realistic than the Gran Turismo's of the world, but the Burnout series has always been one hell of a ride. Maybe it's just the thrill of a 30-car crash, but we just can't wait to play the next one.

On that note, Burnout Paradise will be racing onto your PlayStation 3 on January 22, with a demo hitting sometime in December. What to expect? How about a fully realized open world that seamlessly connects to your offline and online gaming experiences, PlayStation Eye integration, a totally revamped physics system, and most importantly, cool cars that go really, really fast.

We’ve also heard that the Criterion guys love PlayStation - and as a result this game is leading on the PS3. Keep in mind that the final product shouldn't look any different on both systems, but at least it won't end up as a shoddy port.

    It's been such a high quality series, I can't wait to see what they can do on the PS3.  Since it's coming from EA I am slightly worried...

    im not to worried because the article says "We've also heard that the Criterion guys love Playstation - and as a result this game is leading on the PS3." since they love it so much they will probably put in the time and effort to make a quality game.

    Burnout is awesome and is more fun than GT, But when I play GT its not for too much fun, its to dominate and kick some #$% you know,  braggin rights, got to put that game face on.....but I hope criteron show lazy  3rd party devs how a ps3  game is made...

    Meh I never really got into this series,but I always loved what they could do with the lighting and effects.I'm still a little pissed that Criterion canceled BLACK 2,I wanted that game more than Killzone 2

    I'm also a bit worried about EA messing with the game, but hey - EA's Skate is awesome, and it's Criterion who are developing the game, so we can rest assured :) .

    Whoa, they cancelled Black2 ?!!!?! T_T damn! I hoped Criterion would decide to mop the floor with all other FPS in next-gen. Well, after Burnout5 they'll surely work on some game, I wonder what new IP they'll come up with.

    The new IP EA is working on is called Dead Space. EA is actually giving some time, resources, and freedom to the Redwood Shore studio to make it. Maybe the days of EA rehashing the same garbage over and over and over again are finally gonna be over. They still need to fix their work ethic before I buy anything from them however.

    @YamatoKei

    I read that in PSM,they asked Alex Ward (Criterion Boss)about BLACK 2 and he said "not likely".Hopefully hewas just saying that as to not overshadow burnout
