Skate 2 demo coming on January 8?

According to Microsoft's official site, Skate 2 will be available come January 8 for their "Download & Win" program. While the majority of us couldn't care less about the contest nor the source of the content, it just so happens that January 8 is also a Thursday. It goes without saying that a demo released on a Thursday must surely be coming to our beloved PlayStation Store as well, correct?

For those of you who may have been too busy drinking on New Year's Eve or still enjoying your freshly unwrapped holiday gifts, we posted our preview impression of Skate 2 here.

We've emailed Electronic Arts in hopes of confirming this date for the PlayStation Store as well, so hopefully we'll be getting a response back shortly. Though, it is a holiday around the globe, so don't expect an answer back today.

    @2

    I'm hoping that skate doesn't evolve into a yearly thing, thats (imo) how tony hawk's lost it's appeal

    hopefully EA will see that we want longer, rewarding game experiences as apposed to short, rushed crap every half a year or so... but then again it is EA :/

    (tbf to them, dead space was a great game and skate 2 is looking very nice)

    Skate 1 demo was pretty good. I mean, the whole gameplay on skating is all new to me and it's more challenging to do so. That makes it more fun than the Tony Hawk games now. Sorry Tony Hawk...

    @2:

    Skate is made by skaters. Tony Hawks wasn't. I believe this is the main reason the TH franchise failed so hard. They just didn't know what to do with the franchise from about the 4 game onwards. I mean you could skate on F***ing power lines!!! At least with skate being made by skaters they can make the game that they/we want to play and be able to keep it fairly relistic.
