Konami has announced that a new stats update for Pro Evolution Soccer 2009, which is set to coincide with the end of January transfer window, will be available to download for free at the end of February.

Included in the update will be all the transfers that were made before January 2009, bringing all clubs bang up to date. There's also news that hundreds of current player attributes have been tweaked and performance levels have been altered to bring them up to date with their real-life performances on the pitch. On top of that, we can expect to see some new faces as Konami has added approximately 200 new players to the roster.

The company says we can expect further "exciting" downloadable content later this year.

To bad Elfsborg isn't in the game, pretty strange they chose IFK Gothenburg instead of Kalmar or Elfsborg which are two of the best swedish teams
