Metal Gear Solid mastermind Hideo Kojima is to receive a Lifetime Achievement Award during the forthcoming 2009 Game Developers Choice Awards at GDC next month.

GDC event director, Meggan Scavio, commented: “For years, Hideo Kojima’s contributions to game development have broken new ground and inspired the community to think about creating games in never-before-imagined ways.”

“From giving birth to the stealth action game genre to showing game makers how to interact with their players by breaking the ‘fourth wall,’ Kojima’s achievements make him an obvious choice for an award.”

As previously reported, Kojima will be delivering a keynote at the event, entitled “Solid Game Design: Making the ‘Impossible’ Possible.”

As said before when MGS3 came out it was amazing, incredible game. And then MGS4 came out, i was blown away. No game has ever come close. This game has it all, I still havent even thought of anything it might be missing, everything you ever thought off and even much more. I dont even want to go into more detail cause it will be a spoiler.

     Kojima is in another level.
