Bethesda has revealed that it will be bringing Fallout 3 downloadable content to Sony’s PlayStation 3 console this year, starting with the release of Operation Anchorage late next month.
In addition, both The Pitt and Broken Steel and will be gracing Sony’s black behemoth 4-6 weeks apart, though exact release dates have yet to be confirmed. The publisher added that an update for PS3 users will be released at some point allowing gamers to download and play the DLC.
If that wasn’t enough, Bethesda also confirmed the impending release of two all-new DLC packs for all PS3, PC and Xbox 360, as detailed below:
- Point Lookout: Explore a massive new swampland area filled with new quests and content.
- Mothership Zeta: The aliens have returned, and they’re pissed. Experience an alien abduction first hand and find out if you’re tough enough to survive.
Point Lookout will arrive on Sony’s machine once all three previous content packs have been released, with Mothership Zeta releasing after Point Lookout. Finally, Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition will be hitting shelves in October 2009, featuring the original game plus all five add-ons. The PS3/360 will retail for approximately $59.99.

There goes the "exclusives". Seems everyhting will be time exclusives from here on. Actually it is good for everyone XD. I sold my fallout3 copy, well traded for killzone2. I might, just might get my hand on the game of the year edition, seems there arent that many games coming out this year (dont get me wrong, ps3 library has gotten real strong but compare to 08 there are less games i am interested)
