Two co-founders of Rockstar Games are joining former Image Metrics and NBC executives to form 4mm Games, a new video game company poised to deliver “groundbreaking content with global appeal.” The new studio has multi-year partnership with CEA Autumn Games, a global interactive entertainment investment company, which encompasses multiple titles and platforms.
The new company joins together Jamie King and Gary Foreman, co-founders of Rockstar Games, Nicholas Perrett, former Image Metrics exec, and Paul Coyne, a twenty-year technology and entertainment industry veteran.
“I was hugely honored to be approached by talent of Jamie and Gary’s caliber to co-found 4mm Games,” said Nicholas Perrett, chief officer of 4mm games. “It is an utterly unprecedented time in the history of video games, as the web and new business models disrupt the exiting value chain. We are excited to create a new type of business to deliver groundbreaking content with global appeal to a consumer who lives online.”
King will hold the position of president of 4mm, with Foreman operating as chief technology officer and Coyne serving as executive vice president.
“4mm Games has a pioneering vision for the future of interactive entertainment,” said Alex Collmer, CEO and co-founder of CEA Autumn Games. “We believe the 4mm management team combines a unique blend of design, technological prowess and cultural understanding in a way that will speak to a broad audience, and we look forward to working together to create blockbuster entertainment.”

I dunno... I mean by reading this article it seems great... but the original story I heard, they were planning on going head strong into iPhone and Xbl/PSN game developing... which means just another waste of time, IMO. Compared to actual games on real systems those little diversions are jokes.
