Well, it would be stupid NOT to put it on PS3 after all, but gamepress might have just thrown that up there because they assumed it would be on PS3.  We need to hear this from Sony or Konami or Kojima.

so this wont be very big tho id expect i mean psp has like 2gb of space per disk and if its not multidisk on 360 thats 9gb but still new mgs sounds interesting

even if they do release it for ps3, they are starting with the 360. the game will then have to be ported and it will look like doodoo.

Exclusive or not, I hope it fails because if it does, it would alert Kojima to just stick to the PS3 and would alert him to not make any more Raiden games.

it should be on the ps3, but, make thatmultiplat and have the ps3 first then 360 and then wii on the box and that will make me happy. guys, this new game isn't Metal Gear Solid 5,  because it showed no 5.  a playstation 3 game would have 5 within the title.  so, i'm thinking kojima could have an MGS 5. but, otherwise i do have a 360,  it would give me a real reason to turn it on...

My god, you people are stupid when it comes to this MG:R is a 360 exclusive thing!  LOOk AT THE FACTS...FACTS!

1) The story (of the next Metal Gear) first appeared in a PS3/PSP Japanese magazine.  Actually, the 360 version of the same magazine didn't even have a Metal Gear story..

2) You are upset that it wasn't announced as multiplat?  Answer this...WHY WOULD MICROSOFT ANNOUNCE SOME OTHER CONSOLE'S VERSION OF THE GAME AT THEIR PRESS CONFERENCE?  If it is not announced at Sony's conference tomorrow, then you can continue whining.  I doubt you will though.

3) Notice it's not "Tactical Espionage Action".  "Metal Gear May Cry"?  I'm not so sure I even want that game, but ok...I'll try it. 

It will be on PS3, stop making Sony fans look bad.

And another thing--Metal Gear games don't sell very well on Xbox.  Obviously I can't know about this new one for sure, but Xbox owners tend to like western games.  MG is too "japanesey".  THAT'S WHY THEY ARE MAKING AN ACTION GAME OUT OF IT.  Of course, Kojima is very good at what he does and what he wants to do (as he has said many times) is to make a more western game.  MG:R may be that game.  And he may be puttting it on the right console, too.  This could be a new dawn in an old skin for him.  And since I'm always right, You can probably bank on it.

This will be a bad spin-off and with it also being on the PC, meh... I'll still get it, but it probably won't be anywhere near as good as the prior MGS games.

It's multiplatform accept it. It wouldn't make any sense not to be. Konami wouldnt allow it to be because they want the money. MGS4 sold 4 or 5 million on the PS3 alone so it's only natural that they figure 2 systems should at LEAST double the sales.

It doesnt matter that they got THIS game, they still didn't get MGS4 which they were told they'd never get. Also just because they said it at Brand X's keynote dosen't mean they wont say it at Sony's aswell, and for all we knoe the PS3 version is the lead platform. the only thing we know is that this was announced at the first Keynote, which doesnt make it the best, just the first.

@9 whatever its not about being a fan Its about i brought a PS3 to play MGS GT5 FFXII and others period point blank if i knew they were going to be on the 360 i would have brought a 360. Thats why most PS3 fans as u say are pissed. Minds well forget competition and bring out 1 video game system that plays it all...........Oh wait thats right its called a PC

Sony fans are mad cause they feel like were betrayed, you dont see any halo game on ps3 do you? yes and it doesnt say Tactical Espionage Action, well keep in mind kojima isnt the director. how about you look at your facts closer before you open your mouth

OMG what are you, 10 years old?!  Let me school you about the real world, boy.  Konami is a THIRD PARTY DEVELOPER.  They can do whatever they want. 

People keep mentioning Halo as an example.  Halo is a FIRST PARTY GAME.  IT CANNOT COME TO PS3.  That's like inFamous, Killzone 2, Uncharted 2, Resistance 2 or Gran Turismo 5 going to another system.  It CAN NOT happen. 

If you feel betrayed, it's because you haven't grown up.  People are in business to make money, not friends.  The best way to keep an 3rd party exclusive is to SELL MORE HARDWARE so the company stays with you.  If anyone pushed 3rd parties away, it was Sony with a $600 machine.  WAKE UP!  And when you wake up and think about it like that, Sony was LUCKY to keep MGS4. 

(And let me tell you, if MG:R does well on the 360, watch a port of that game go over, too.)

I'm gonna say this everytime this come up from now on until you little ones get it:

THE ONLY SAFE EXCLUSIVE IS A 1ST OR 2ND PARTY GAME.  If Sony does not develop it or publish it, condider it a multiplay or FUTURE mulitplat, period...you idiot.

I hope Rising will be a generic shooter to please the FPS geeks that are on X360 and developed in 3 weeks with 5 people - of course looking ridiculous compared to MGS4 - thus bringing lots of money to Kojima to produce quality PS3 games

I really hope it comes on the PS3 as well , but I think it's gonna be far inferior to MGS4 , MGS4 was 50GB , and now this game will have to be only 9 GB :(    and kojima said that 50GB weren't enough for MGS4 , then what would he do now ????

Besides, The story of Solid Snake was one of the major factors that made the series that great , and now this story is over :(

But of course I'll be getting any MGS game , MY FAVOURITE GAME OF ALL TIME

If the MGS Rising game is Multi plat I hope Kojima pushes the PS3 and only does what he can with the 360 so it really shows the xbox 360's weakness.  It is inferior to the PS3, and he is either going to have to deal with making a game that takes a couple steps, if not several steps back from his prevous game or improve on it and give xbox a 10 disc game lol.  This was my favorite franchise of all time along with Resident Evil now they will probibly always be mediocre.
