Retro RPG fans in Japan can now download Final Fantasy II on the PlayStation Store. Square Enix seems to be releasing some of its best classics on the PlayStation Network, as we’ve already seen Final Fantasy VII (in North America, too), and the original Final Fantasy available for download. The archived re-release is based on the PS1 version of the game, and like the other FF downloadable titles, it will be available on both PlayStation 3 and PSP.
Japanese gamers, and those with access to the Japanese PlayStation Store, can purchase the remake of the second Final Fantasy game for ¥600 ($6.50 USD). There is no information at this time about a North American or European release, but we’ll be sure to let you know if we hear anything more.

Well this is weird, FF2 always freezes at an exact point in the game on both EU and NA versions - I'll check later, they may have fixed it in the latest FW update
