Fat Princess developer Titan Studios has confirmed it has identified a “specific problem” as to why a number of the game’s users can’t connect to an online match, and has assured punters it is working hard on a patch to rectify the issue.
A post on the company’s blog reads: “Players are sometimes experiencing significant lag in some games. Thanks to your feedback, we’ve identified a specific problem and already have a fix in testing. The matchmaking system will randomly pick potential servers bases on a number of criteria. As implemented, the results that are returned are fit in some regards, but sometimes have a high ping for your location.”
The firm added it is now working in conjunction with Sony in order to have the patch enter testing stages asap: “We have implemented a number of fixes for previously identified problems, focusing most of our efforts on connection failures. We have already tested this patch on our own client machines, and performance appears to be dramatically improved. We are working with Sony now to get the patch into the Sony testing process as soon as possible.”
Stay tuned for more developments here at PSU as they break.

I think that games who's major selling is only game play (MAG, FAT Princess, BattleField 1943, etc) should have an Open BETA. Sony should demand this. This will cut down on the issues on Release Day.

This game isnt worht 15$. It should be 10$. I know i'm knickle and diming here, but seriously, there are a ton of better games at a lower pricepoint. I wont be buying this until the price drops, or I have every other good psn game.

Developers take note, this is how you SUPPORT a title that you've released. Yeah maybe this should have been addressed before release but the important thing is that they are fixing it POST-RELEASE... it's a real shame that certain other companies aren't supporting their titles... ahem, Infinity Ward.... Has anyone tried to play cod4 lately? it's overrun with hackers and I haven't heard a peep out of IW about fixing this. In my opinion every single person hacking on cod4 should be banned from both cod4 and MW2.

Got it yesterday, and been playing all day. no problems to get online, maybe once or twice that's about it.
