Sony announced today that futuristic racer WipEout HD will be released on Blu-ray disc on October 16, 2009.

Previously available via PlayStation Network only, the game will retail for approximately £19.99 GBP and ships on a single disc complete with the Fury downloadable content pack. Just in case you're unfamiliar with the expansion, Fury throws in 12 new tracks, 13 additional ships, six new music tracks, redesigned menu, a new campaign plus extra Trophies. On top of that, you’ll also get three new race types - Eliminator, Zone Battle and Detonator.

i've had my PSN copy since the day it came out, plus i brought Fury the day it came out too... no point of me buying the BD copy now although i do prefer to have physical disc copies of all my games. im not about to fork up more money for a disc copy, i wish sony would have at least mentioned this a long time ago cause as far as i know, sony CLEARLY said that wipeout will never be released on BD

ill never buy a downloadable game, i wanted siren blood curse for ages but wasn't willing to buy it off the ps store but got it for £20 a few months later from asda....same applies with wipeout HD, i would rather have something solid to keep.

Why did they say it would ONLY come out on PSN and not in Blu Ray if they release it on Blu Ray a couple months later anyway? =/

This is good for those that don't own it yet. I wish I had it on blu-ray instead of it taking up my HDD space.

Disc always > download no matter what it is IMHO.
