IMO the reason xbox is so popular is because of some of their systems are so cheap, the parents see it and just buy it for their kids. which is why you have so many kids on xbl screaming their nuts off

One way to put it is that the PS3 is the big boy's system, more advanced, more capabilities and sleeker.

the xbox is just a cheap runner up, the preferred choice for parents to buy for their kids

I would think one of the main reasons it sold so well, would have been the price war that the supermarkets did.

I only bought it because it was £25.00 at Tesco, after buying Uncharted 2.

@10 I agree with you, a lot of supermarkets sold at a reduced price. After everyting that was said about the price no way was I gonna pay full price (£50) for something that may have been a huge let down. I bought mine for £20 from makro, bargain.

think how many more they would have sold if it wasnt over priced (yeah i know was cheap everywhere), and they didnt screw up teh pc vesion. i herd they lost like a million pc pre orders world wide, may have even been more.

 PS3 owners don't all need to flock to the lastest thing.  We have plenty of killer titles at the mo.   Eventually PS3 sales will match and exceed the Xbox sales.

If i'm not mistaking there are more ps3s being used in the uk than the us right now.The us has to fight with xbox 360 for modern warfare players  so  thats the reason there even close.

I work at GAME and we sold so many copies of CoDMW2 it was insane, seriously I worked a shift today and every other game sold was MW2! Also most people bought it on the 360, and the fanboyism is unbelievable. I actually get verbally insulted by customers when I tell them I prefer the PS3.

I agree with Tonic99 the only reason xbox will have more sales is because of Uncharted 2 a must have game! And Coming soon Assasin Creed 2 overall MW2 will still make bank.
