Ubisoft’s stealthily staple-gunned a US release date to its upcoming Splinter Cell Classic Trilogy HD compilation, confirming the bundle’s out on March 22.

The PlayStation 3-exclusive package includes the original Splinter Cell, along with sequels Pandora Tomorrow and Chaos Theory all rolled up in one swanky HD-powered Blu-ray bundle of joy.

Concurrently, Ubisoft also announced that the Prince of Persia Trilogy will see a physical release in the territory on the same day. Up until now, the classic platform series had only been available to North American punters via the PS Store.

Both bundles will deprive your wallets of $39.99 USD. No word on a UK Splinter Cell release date yet, but we’ll keep you in the loop.

Wow. I always thought Splinter Cell to be a 360 favored system. But heck, this is just something nice to have. Higher capacity media really helps.

$40......Maybe if it's $30 with my PSN+ subscription and I first finish Mass Effect 2, Dead Space2, LBP2, FO: NV, FO3, and Killzone 2 when it comes out.  If not, to much on my gaming plate.

    Yeah early fall at best.
