The Witcher II: Assassins of Kings looks set to make the transition to home consoles at some point down the line, according to the folks at PS3SitePL.

The site reports (via Bluesnews) that CD Projekt’s Michael Kicinski said on Polish TV that the studio will be bringing the fantasy RPG to consoles in the future, describing the venture as “an entirely new project.” Apparently, we can expect full details to emerge at either E3 or GamesCom.

The Witcher II has been rumored to be receiving the home console treatment ever since development began, though an official confirmation on the subject has continued to remain elusive.

For now, PC owners can look forward to the arrival of The Witcher II on May 17.
